WebRTC is not just for call centers anymore. From telemedicine to stock trading in the U.K. to dance education, WebRTC is poised to impact a wide range of industries. Dialogic’s president and CEO Kevin Cook discussed these real-world situations during his keynote address at the WebRTC Expo in Atlanta this summer. Two Dialogic employees, Andrew Goldberg and Jim Machi, were recognized at the conference with WebRTC Pioneer Awards for their leadership in this space.
Speaking before a crowded global audience of developers, corporate executives and service providers, Cook shared information about Dialogic’s involvement in WebRTC projects, with a focus on how the browser-based video conferencing technology will streamline the customer experience across the board. With the technology evolving at lightning speed, the early adopters are paving the way for widespread deployment and mainstream use down the road.
We will take a closer look at a few of these examples in future blog posts, but suffice it to say that there are plenty of new stories to tell about how customers are solving their communications problems with technology that wasn’t even available two years ago.
Watch Kevin Cook’s video now and tell us what you think. Are you ready for the next phase of innovation in communication? Do you know of other use cases where WebRTC could be put to the test? Post them in a comment.
