Portugal is the center of focus next week for Telecommunications Application Developers as the annual TADSummit 2015 kicks off at the beautiful Corinthia Hotel in downtown Lisbon.  Under the tutelage of the effervescent Alan Quayle, TADSummit is a grass-roots initiative to build an open ecosystem focused on helping business use telecom capabilities in their applications, services and business processes. Running from early Tuesday morning on November 17th through the end of the day on Wednesday, November 18th, the agenda is packed with sessions and panel discussions related to real-time communications, WebRTC, service creation and delivery methodologies.

To help get things started, Oracle is hosting a pre-conference Communications App Developer Workshop on Monday, November 16th starting at 3 PM.  The program includes a number of modules and presenters, covering topics from Network Development APIs, WebRTC, Media Servers and other key technologies being used to build next generation applications.   As part of the program, Vince Puglia, Developer Advocate with Dialogic will be providing an introduction on media servers, their role in advanced applications, multi-media APIs and an overview on the Dialogic PowerMedia XMS media server solutions.

On Wednesday during the main TADSummit agenda, Rakendu Devdhar, Product Line Manager for Dialogic will be delivering a session titled “Case Studies on How Dialogic Accelerates Telecom Development”.   The session starts at 9:40 AM and will include a number of examples of innovative telecommunication applications and feature a new WebRTC-based public safety application deployment at Towson University.

Immediately following TADSummit, the folks at TeleStax are kicking off Restcomm 2015, an exclusive VIP event for “Restcomm Rock Stars” (developers that have mastered the TeleStax Restcomm development environment).   As part of the program, Vince Puglia, Developer Advocate for Dialogic will provide an in-depth look at the media resources available with Dialogic PowerMedia XMS in Restcomm environments.  His session will show examples of advanced media manipulation features and capabilities along with product roadmap and future vision for media processing from Dialogic.

An action packed week for telecommunications, surely an opportunity to network and expand opportunities for developers, technology providers and industry experts.
