The Growth of Mobile Advertising

Given that more than 50% of consumers are accessing the internet via mobile devices now, it stands to reason that the internet model of advertising would come to mobile access. After all, websites are now designed specifically for mobile devices in addition to desktop, so why wouldn’t desktop internet models of making money also apply?

Video Conferencing Arrives in Buffalo

Being born and raised in Buffalo, NY, I've heard every joke and stereotype imaginable: 

  • Yes, I know the acronym for BILLS is Boy, I Love Losing SuperBowls....
  • No, Buffalo is not basically part of Canada, eh...
  • Yes, we buy our your kid's halloween costume two sizes too big so it can fit over the snowsuit....
  • No, everyone does not eat Buffalo wings (we just call them wings).... 

Ok maybe the last one is true and to top it off, Buffalo has never been on the bleeding-edge of adopting technology. We're not luddites, but rather fashionably late to every party. But something caught my eye while I was walking through the Buffalo airport last week.

Value-Added Services in the VoLTE World – Enterprises

From an enterprise value-added services perspective, voice conferencing could be a good one.  Enterprises still need to host conferences, so conferences that can be on-demand would provide value. Adding video to a voice conference, and enabling collaboration to that conference, would be even better.  Expanding out a traditional service like this is a good example of a VAS that a service provider could offer and get paid for.  The on-demand piece above is crucial.
